Miranda Di Grande

Biography (written by her brother, Christian)

Miranda DiGrande was born in Germany on January 6, 1997. From an early age, she was drawn to both creative expression and the natural world. Childhood trips to the ocean left a lasting impression — she was often seen returning washed-up sea life to the water, guided by an instinctive sense of care and responsibility.

When asked what she associates with the ocean, Miranda says:

“The ocean air and the view of the vast horizon fill me with a sense of freedom and inviolable peace.”

German-born filmmaker, author, entrepreneur, and medical neuroscientist, Miranda’s work bridges science, storytelling, and social impact. Raised in a family of mathematicians and physicists, she developed a balance of logic, curiosity, and imagination that continues to shape her multidisciplinary career.

At 16, she entered a major international television modelling competition, advancing from over 15,000 applicants to the semi-finals. This experience led to an international modelling career across Europe and Asia, where she gained early exposure to diverse cultures and high-pressure professional environments.

At 19, Miranda co-created a documentary with Prince Albert II of Monaco, combining her appreciation for the ocean with her belief that film can inspire tangible environmental action. This project became the foundation for Colibri Productions, through which she has since developed television formats, led charity initiatives, and collaborated with networks across Australia, Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
Her entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding a publishing company dedicated to supporting emerging voices and serving as Founder and CEO of Champagne Plume Élégante, a brand rooted in craftsmanship, elegance, and precision. She has also designed a jewellery collection inspired by the hummingbird—a symbol that reflects her creative philosophy and personal identity.

Alongside her creative and business work, Miranda studies medical neuroscience, integrating scientific insight into her storytelling, leadership, and humanitarian initiatives. She is the founder of the DiGrande Foundation and an active member of the German Ocean Foundation, with a strong focus on charitable work, sustainability, youth empowerment, and global responsibility.

Fluent in several languages and trained in martial arts, Miranda values discipline, composure, and inner balance—qualities that quietly inform both her personal life and professional collaborations. Her background in Method Acting further deepens her understanding of human behaviour, shaping the emotional authenticity of her writing and directing.

Her debut memoir, published at the age of 26, reflects her commitment to resilience, purpose, and meaningful contribution.

Miranda DiGrande is known for her integrity, creativity, and reliability. She collaborates with individuals and organisations who share her values and who seek to create work that serves both people and the planet.
